Working inside Microsoft's social impact skilling team, we automated the pipeline that connects a customer's first sales contact to a skilling practitioner actively working with them, replacing a manual process and giving the team live status at every stage.

Microsoft's Tech for Social Impact arm runs AI skilling for United Nations agencies and nonprofits worldwide.
The team's skilling engagements were growing faster than the manual process behind them. Every new customer meant hand-carried intake, ad hoc routing to practitioners, back-and-forth scheduling and no single view of where anything stood. The manual pipeline had become the main constraint on how many engagements the team could take on.

Mapped the real pipeline
We sat inside the team's actual workflow and traced every handoff, from first sales contact through to a customer paired with the right skilling practitioner. That surfaced the stalls: requests waiting on a person to notice them, context lost between stages and no record of what was in flight.
Automated intake and routing
Power Automate runs the intake. Incoming customers are captured, qualified and routed to the right practitioner automatically, with the context each practitioner needs attached to the customer record.
Took over the scheduling
Meetings and the invitations between customers and the team are created by the flows, removing the manual scheduling that previously added days of elapsed time to each engagement.
Made the whole thing visible
Every engagement is tracked live from intake through to active skilling, giving the team and its leadership a single shared view of the pipeline for capacity planning.
